LaoZhang API
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LaoZhang API collects, uses, shares, transfers and protects information when you use our website, dashboard, API and support services.
Last updated: January 1, 2026.
Core statement: by default, LaoZhang API does not store API prompts, responses or uploaded content. We retain necessary account, billing, security and service metadata for operation, billing, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
1. Scope and controller
This policy applies to the websites, dashboards, APIs, documentation, billing pages and support channels operated under laozhang.ai by YingTu Technology Pte. Ltd..
For account, website, billing, security and support information, we act as the controller or business responsible for deciding how that information is processed. For API content that you send for model processing, we operate primarily as a technical transmission and routing provider, subject to the Terms of Service and the Data Policy.
2. Information we collect
Account information may include your email address, username, company or team information, authentication data, dashboard settings, API key identifiers and communications with us.
Billing information may include order records, credit purchases, balance changes, invoice information, payment status, currency, transaction identifiers, chargeback information and limited payment method details provided by payment processors. We do not store full card numbers.
Service metadata may include account or key identifiers, timestamp, endpoint, model, route, token or usage amount, request status, error category, latency, IP address, user agent and other technical information needed for billing, troubleshooting, rate limiting, security and abuse prevention.
Support information may include messages, screenshots, logs or other materials that you choose to provide when asking for help.
3. API content handling
By default, we do not store, view, analyze, cache, sell or use API prompt content, response content, uploaded files or generated media for model training, profiling or marketing.
API content is transmitted as necessary to upstream AI model providers and infrastructure providers to process your request and return the result. The upstream provider selected for a request may process that content under its own terms, privacy policy, data processing rules, abuse monitoring rules and retention practices.
If an optional debugging, history or private log feature is offered and enabled, any saved API content will be clearly disclosed and handled according to this policy, the Data Policy and the controls shown in the product.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide, operate, secure and improve the service; create and manage accounts; issue and protect API keys; process payments and credits; calculate usage; provide dashboards and support; diagnose errors; prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents; enforce the Terms of Service; comply with legal obligations; and send service notices.
We may use aggregated or de-identified usage statistics to understand service performance, capacity, routing, model demand and product reliability, provided that such statistics do not reveal API prompt or response content.
5. Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for login, security, session management, language preferences and dashboard operation.
If we use analytics, product analytics or performance tools, they will be used to understand website and product usage, diagnose issues and improve reliability. We will not use these tools to inspect API prompt or response content.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent secure areas of the service from working properly.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We may share information with upstream AI model providers to process API requests; payment processors to complete purchases and handle disputes; cloud, hosting, security, analytics, email, customer support and infrastructure vendors to operate the service; professional advisers; affiliates or successors in a corporate transaction; and authorities where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security or service integrity.
Service providers are expected to process information only for the purposes for which we engage them, subject to appropriate confidentiality, security and contractual obligations where applicable.
We do not sell personal information as the term is commonly defined under privacy laws.
7. Cross-border transfers
Because LaoZhang API is operated from Singapore and routes requests to global upstream AI model and infrastructure providers, information may be processed in Singapore, the United States, the European Union and other countries or regions.
Where required, users are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid legal basis, consent, notice, transfer mechanism or contractual protection for sending data through the service to upstream providers outside their jurisdiction.
8. Retention
Service metadata used for billing and troubleshooting is generally retained for 7 days unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for security, abuse investigation, billing dispute, legal compliance or service integrity.
Account information is retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, dispute, security and legal purposes. Billing and transaction records are retained as required for accounting, tax, anti-fraud and legal compliance.
Support communications are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain support history, resolve disputes and improve service quality.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, access controls, logging minimization and restricted access for authorized personnel.
No internet or API service can be guaranteed to be fully secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials, API keys, integration environments and downstream systems.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict or object to certain processing of personal information, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
You may request account access, correction, deletion or data export by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity, account ownership or authority before acting on a request, and some information may be retained where required or permitted by law.
11. Children
The service is not intended for anyone under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
12. Privacy law disclosures
For users in regions with privacy laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, Singapore PDPA, California privacy laws or other U.S. state privacy laws, the categories of information we collect, use and disclose are described above. Our legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations and consent where applicable.
We use information to provide and secure the service, process payments, communicate with users, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with law, and improve reliability. We disclose information to service providers, upstream model providers, payment processors, authorities and transaction counterparties as described in this policy.
13. Policy updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes may be notified by email, dashboard notice or website notice. The updated policy takes effect when posted unless otherwise stated.
